The Great Multitude
Presbyterian Church
was established in May of 1985 in Riverdale, Maryland,
originally
under the name of Northern Washington Presbyterian
Church. After eight years of explosive growth and
wonderful fellowship, we
purchased our own building in Silver Spring,
Maryland, in 1993.
We
currently have 600 registered members. Through God¡¯s
grace, we enjoy the use of an enormous facility with main
and auxiliary
sanctuaries, fifteen
classrooms, five offices, and a truly
impressive 7,800-square-feet gymnasium, which
serves as the centerpiece of our vibrant youth
ministry.
Some
of the main activities of our church include a
Korean-language school; radio broadcasts over Virginia
Korean Radio Broadcasting (1310 AM);
Internet broadcasts over
Bible Broadcasting Network; tape and CD
mission work; and ¡°The
Joseph's Vision Movement for the 21st Century,¡±
an international missionary movement we
started seven years ago. This
movement annually nurtures
over one thousand
young leaders
in Korea
and hundreds more in the United States, many of
whom subsequently
commit themselves to full-time service to God. |
